In a crazy result in the Champions League last night, RB Leipzig beat holders Real Madrid 3-2 at home.
That’s not the only thing that makes the scoreline crazy, both Nkunku and Gvardiol were on target for Leipzig, as was everyone’s ‘love to hate’ forward Timo Werner.
Gvardiol and Nkunku gave Leipzig a two goal lead after only 18 minutes with Vinicius Junior pulling a goal back just before half time.
It would be Timo Werner who wrapped up the win on 81 minutes with Rodrygo scoring a consolation from the penalty spot in injury time.
Leipzig look resigned to losing both Nkunku and Gvardiol who have made great strides this season but if remains to be seen if they will end up at Chelsea, who beat the other Red Bull franchise – Salzburg – on the same evening.
