Transfer rumours round-up

A selection of the many Chelsea related transfer rumours doing the rounds.

William Gallas’s agent, Pierre Frelot, says his client is set to become a makeweight in the deal that could bring Andrey Shevchenko to Chelsea – so much so that Gallas has already agreed terms with AC Milan.

Mr. Frelot has also been speaking to the Italian press about Didier Drogba, who he also represents. It will come as no surprise to anyone that he told them: “Milan are very interested in Didier and he would be extremely happy to play for them.” Seems Frelot is attempting to engineer himself a thumping great summer bonus.

Porto have denied receiving an approach from Chelsea for their winger Ricardo Quaresma. “Officially, we have not received any proposition and it does not enter into our plans to sell this player in the summer,” said Porto president Pinto da Costa. Interesting use of the word “officially”.

And Chelsea are said to be tracking Everton’s Joseph Yobo, who is in the last year of his contract with the Toffees. A new deal has been on the table for the past season but Yobo has so far refused to sign. Everton manager David Moyes is reported to have slapped an £8m price tag on the Nigerian international. Chelsea, Arsenal and Marseille apparently value him at £4m.

That’s your lot for now.
