Carlos Bacca, AC Milan’s Colombian international, is apparently the subject of interest from Chelsea and Guus Hiddink.
Bacca has been identified by Chelsea as backup to Diego Costa as an alternative to Senegalese striker Oumar Niasse.
While the chase for Shakhtar’s Alex Teixeira continues, Chelsea are apparently looking to bolster the squad even further.
Bacca, 29, only joined Milan last season from Spanish club Sevilla for €30 million.
At Sevilla, Bacca scored 34 in 71 games while this year he has scored 8 in 17 for Milan.
However at the age of 29, Milan may not get another opportunity to recoup more than the amount they paid for him and could well be willing to do a deal. The reported fee is £30 million.
Here are some of Bacca’s highlights from this season:
Bacca also has history with discpline, getting himself sent off in last year’s Copa America playing for Colombia against Brazil.
After the final whistle had gone, he was involved in a melee with Barcelona’s Neymar.
This rumour has come a little out of the blue, but we’ll track it’s progress nonetheless.
