The Valuation of John Stones
We all know that transfer prices seem to inflate overnight and the tale of Chelsea’s pursuit of John Stones is no different.
When the original story leaked, I considered £20 million to be a fair price for defender with only 46 appearances in the Premier League – his 4 England caps and obvious potential factored in of course.

Now, as Everton hold their ground, rumours are abound that Chelsea will go back to Everton with an increased bid, the value of which could be anywhere between £25 million and £45 million depending on which newspaper or website you prefer.
So we want to know, as Chelsea fans, what would you be comfortable with the club spending on John Stones – and do we even need him at all?
It appears £20 million wasn’t quite sufficient, but is £40 million too much? Do you think we need immediate cover at centre half and money shouldn’t stand in the way of us signing him?
