Hot Prospect Set To Leave For Premier League Rivals

Ola Aina

Ola Aina is a man in demand. The 19 year old’s contract at Chelsea will expire this summer and a number of top clubs are lining up to sign him.

Arsenal, Liverpool, Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen and Dortmund are all said to be interested in his signature.

His preferred role is at right-back however can also do a job at left-back or centre half.

Born in London, Aina joined Chelsea at under-11 level and has made regular appearances in the Under-21s from 2013 to 2015 winning 2 FA Youth Cups, Under-21 Premier League, UEFA Youth League in the process.

He has also been capped at U-16, U-17, U-18 and U-19 levels by Enlgand (however is also eligible for Nigeria through his parents).

On his 17th birthday, Aina was immediately handed a professional contract by The Blues which is set to expire in June this year.

It would certainly seem a waste of development time on Chelsea’s part if he was to leave the club, especially to a Premier League rival.

Only yesterday were we singing the praises of Ruben Loftus-Cheek who has successfully navigated his way through the youth system to become a fully fledged first team member.

Well now we’re seeing the other side of the coin. The familiar side.

Players at Chelsea are finding it increasingly difficult to break through, and they leave the club to other clubs’ gain.
