As has been on the cards for some time, Nkunku will be joining Chelsea and it appears they have managed to get the deal done before the World Cup begins.
The reason that is important is Nkunku is expected to have a big impact for France who will likely go deep into the tournament.
Much is said about how player value rises during a major tournament and the case of Nkunku is no different.
Chelsea have been working around the clock to get this deal done and signed before a ball is kicked at the World Cup even though the player can’t join until January.
It is reported that there are still some finer details, such as ‘different payment terms’ to be sorted out, but in all likelihood this deal will get over the line as Chelsea hope.
