Rumours are circulating that Michael Essien, Lyon’s much sought after midfielder, will sign for Chelsea in the next 72 hours in a deal worth around £20m. The French champions are battling to keep him, but Essien’s agent Fabien Pireteaou believes a breakthrough is close and said: “Maybe I will be able to say something on Monday.”
