Chelsea have agreed a deal for 19 year-old Nigerian international midfielder Jon Obi Mikel, bringing an end to a long-running transfer dispute with Manchester United.
Under the terms of the agreement Chelsea will pay United £12m and Lyn Oslo, Mikel’s current club, £4m.
Mikel’s registration will be transferred from Lyn Oslo to Chelsea as soon as possible. United have agreed to terminate their option agreement with Mikel.
