It’s no secret that Chelsea have been chasing Christoper Nkunku at least since the summer. As rumours continue to grow that the player is on the brink of signing, we have heard reports that Chelsea are ready to meet the Leipzig player’s €60 million release clause to get the deal over the line.
There is always the possibility that the deal will be structured slightly differently however if Chelsea opt to move quickly and save on negotiation time, then the release clause option will be the most straightforward.
Either way, it seems more likely than ever that Nkunku will be a Chelsea player in January.

Chelsea sent long term contract bid to Nkunku to prepare the deal for 2023.
