Word on the street has it that Chelsea are close to signing one of their top targets, Alex Teixeira.
The Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder/striker is understood to be keen on the move and is rumoured to have been in contact with current Chelsea midfielder, fellow countryman and former Shakhtar player Willian to scope out the move.
In recent years, Donetsk has been the odd but favoured route for many a Brazilian and Teixeira has been no different.
The attacking midfielder, now 25, joined Shakhtar back in 2009 from famous Brazilian outfit Vasco Da Gama for whom he made his debut aged 18. In the process he has gained much European football experience in both the Champions League and the Europa League.
This season has been his most productive with Teixeira scoring 22 in 15 appearances and attracting glances from across Europe for his signature.
Capped at U-17 and U-20 level, Teixeira has never played for the full Brazil national side.
