Potter faces decision between two wonderkids

Ahead of facing his old club Brighton at the Amex this weekend, Graham Potter faces a headache of his own. But let’s be clear its a good headache to have as Potter faces a decision on whether to go with Trevor Chalobah or Wesley Fofana at the back.

Having spent big money in the summer for Fofana, he is still finding his feet in the Chelsea first team and can be forgiven for being a little off the pace.

This, however, has left the door open for Trevor Chalobah who had fallen out of favour under Tuchel. Chalobah’s return to form has him strongly in contention for a starting place in every competition and this will likely put pressure on all of the defenders in the first team.

We’ll soon see who Potter puts his faith in to face Brighton but it looks like Chalobah’s form could get him a starting spot.
