Chelsea Receive Massive Injury Boost Ahead of Arsenal Clash

Hazard Kyiv

Ahead of this weekend’s crucial tie against arch rivals Arsenal, the return of Eden Hazard to full fitness will give The Blues a much needed boost.

The little Belgian has been out of action since the 3-0 win against Crystal Palace on the 3rd January.

Since then, Hazard has missed 3 games in the typically hectic festive/new year schedule.

Currently 14th in the league (sorry will try not to mention that again), a win in this fixture is crucial for Hiddink and the whole team.

If anything, it’s more a morale boost for everyone involved with the club and it would certainly get more fans onside for the playing squad and Hiddink.

Who doesn’t enjoy a win over Arsenal!

Hazard returned to light training at the end of last weekend.

Deemed unfit to play any part against Everton on the weekend he made a successful return to full training on Monday meaning he will, at the very least, be in contention to start against Arsenal this weekend.

There’s no doubt his form is a concern, but equally a player of his talent and skill doesn’t lose his ability overnight.

Give me an enigmatic Hazard any day.

Every player goes through a slump. I never thought I’d see the day Ivanovic put in a below-par performance – and look at him now.

So Hazard will be back. He will be effervescent as ever. It’s now just a case of when.

I’m keeping my fingers crossed it’s this weekend against the Gunners.

Hazard will have a point to prove should he get his spot back in the Chelsea starting 11 this Sunday, let’s hope he shows the form to keep it.

And just to get you fired up before the game:
