Utility man, scorer of ‘that’ goal at the Nou Camp and all round ball of energy, Ramires has today extended his contract with The Blues until 2019.
His existing deal was due to take him up to 2017.
For me, Ramires is a key man in Jose’s squad. Never one to complain, he gets his head down and works hard. Mourinho knows what he will get from Ramires and every so often he gives us a surprise or two.
Loved by the fans for his seemingly endless amounts of energy, it’s certainly good news that we’re tying him down to a longer deal. And very characteristically of Ramires, no fanfare was made over his contractual negotiations – there was simply a press release that he had signed.
