With the sad news today that Jimmy Greaves is in intensive care after suffering a stroke, we at CFCB wanted to wish him a full and speedy recovery. Although unfortunately too young to ever get to see him grace the pitch, I can remember the stories from my next door neighbour, who he claimed to be the most naturally gifted striker he’d ever seen play. The epitome of the expression, “he scores goals for fun”. Although spending the majority of his career at Tottenham, Jimmy Greaves had an outstanding four seasons at Stamford Bridge.
