In line with Chelsea’s policy of signing the best young talent from around the world, they signed Cesare Casadei in the summer with a view to developing him into a first team player.
And this move appears to be bearing fruit sooner than anticipated.
Such are the high quality of the player’s performances so far, he is expected to join the first team training sessions during the World Cup break – another chance to impress the hierarchy but this time in much closer quarters.
We’ll keep an eye on his development!
