Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck has reiterated that the club will not sell William Gallas even though the player has made it clear he wants to quit Stamford Bridge.
“William is unhappy but we love William Gallas and we’d like him to stay at Chelsea,” Buck told BBC Radio Five Live.
“We’re not interested in transferring him to a Premier League club or another club in Europe. He has one year on his contract and we expect him to fulfil that.”
Gallas was left out of the squad for yesterday’s Community Shield after missing the club’s tour of the United States.
