The new season is finally here! Well, not yet – but when you see the actual fixtures written down it really gets you geared up for another season of the most exciting sports league in the World.
The Chelsea fixtures list has now been announced with some interesting games in August and yet again another busy Christmas period. The season starts on August 8th with a home game against Swansea, and with Jose Mourinho never losing an opening game of the season we hope he can continue that trend – after the 3-1 win at Burnley last season. Another good omen for Chelsea is that the defending Premier League Champions have NEVER lost on the opening day. Another key date for all Chelsea fans is the first round of the Champions League proper, which starts September 15th.
The full list is below, with dates I am sure subject to change with European fixtures and games on TV usually leading to endless games in hand and managers complaining about a 12:45pm kick off. Will Chelsea be able to achieve back to back Premier League trophies? Here’s hoping.
