Last night BBC Radio Five Live dedicated two-and-a-half hours of its Sport on Five programme to Chelsea to celebrate the club’s centenary. Guests in the Sport on Five studio included Bruce Buck, the Chelsea Football Club chairman, Paul Smith, director of business affairs, and ex-players Peter Osgood, Kerry Dixon and Pat Nevin. Gianluca Vialli and Eidur Gudjohnsen were interviewed live, Gavin Peacock took a look back over the 100-year history of Chelsea with Rick Glanvill, author of the brilliant Official Biography — The Definitive Story of the First 100 Years, and the centerpiece of the night was a 20-minute exclusive interview with Jose Mourinho. Listeners also voted for their all-time Chelsea XI.
For a limited time you can listen again to the programme via the BBC’s Radio Player, or you can download the Jose Mourinho interview (Windows Media Audio format) from the official Chelsea Football Club website. I’ve made a 64kbps mp3 of the whole two-and-a-half hour programme. Drop me an email via the Contact form if you’d like a copy (67mb zip file containing one mp3 file).
