Antonio Rudiger has explained that his decision to leave Chelsea was a tough one and it was simply a decision between the Blues and Real Madrid.
In an interview, the journalist was pressing him on whether Barcelona were also an option, and while Rudiger admitted they approached him, it was never something he actually considered.
“I was really happy at Chelsea, then Real Madrid called to sign me and I said… wow! For me, it was only Chelsea or Real”
Many put Rudiger’s move down to bad timing with instability around the club, he was never offered the best option to stay at Chelsea despite it appearing as though he was keen to remain in London.
