CFCB – Back in Business

Stamford Bridge

Welcome. And for those that have been round this way before, welcome back.

We have some incredibly exciting news that after a year or so in hibernation, Chelsea FC Blog is back in business and under new ownership (…just in time for the Blues to be crowned Champions). We’ve got some great articles lined up which will hopefully spark a conversation or two, covering;

  • Reviews and perspective of all games across the four competitions
  • Spotlights on the youth teams and players out on loan
  • Transfer news & rumours
  • A regular look back at Chelsea players of the past as well
  • The odd foray into the data and analytical side of our beautiful game to see how the numbers really stack up (or not).

Once the 2014/15 Premiership season draws to a close we’ll continue to update the blog throughout the off-season with it unlikely to be a quiet one for Jose.
So without further hesitation, let us introduce ourselves:

Chris

As a Surrey born Chelsea fan, my love of the game began with mid table battles, player managers and a Russian keeper in baggy trousers. A love of the Italian Era, unsung heroes and nights of European drama.

Matt the Blue

Hi, I’m Matt. A walking Chelsea almanac and keen tactician, with a nose for formation changes and tinkermen it only makes sense that my favourite Chelsea player is one of the most tactically astute you’re likely to find, Claude Makelele. You’ll find me digging around in Opta data to get to the bottom of what’s really happening.

Just like the blogs’ previous owners, we thrive on engagement, interaction and divided opinion on all things CFC, Premier League and the general footballing world. Which is why our readers, new and old, are the most important thing to us, because without you we wouldn’t have the fire to keep this website alive. This remains a blog run by fans, for the fans. With that said, we encourage you to get involved by commenting, emailing us, requesting topics for us to write about and, if you have something to say yourself, drop us a line about being a featured author on the Chelsea FC Blog.

    May I be the first to wish you the best for the future. As a former contributor under Nick’s stewardship I have many fond memories of committing my rants to the written form on everything Chelsea. Bonne chance!

      Very much appreciated Jack. We both hope we can do the site justice but you’ve left us some pretty big boots to fill. Of course you’re more than welcome to continue your rants here, in fact we very much encourage it. Hope to see you on the blog!
